Leonard Zhang

Property is an ever-changing market environment, and that’s one of the many reasons why Leonard has really enjoyed his time in the industry so far. Since joining Aston he’s seen even more changes on top of those in his previous roles. That’s because he’s spent over 9 years in residential property before and now works with us across commercial assets. 

Day-to-day, Leonard backs up our Property Management Team as an indispensable all-rounder. Assisting on operational tasks right through to key projects and assignments. This can include liaising and communicating with our many clients, arranging maintenance and arrears payments, carrying out reporting, undertaking market reviews, as well as support for leasing, inspections and day-to-day paperwork. 

In addition to his support role, Leonard is also a trained auctioneer. As he puts it, “Obtaining auctioneer training was a one-in-a-lifetime experience that pushed me outside my comfort zone in a previous position. The auctioneer program I took part in was challenging and somewhat painful, but rewarding!” Leonard is yet to hold an auction hammer at Aston, but look out, you may see him soon!

When we asked him why he felt Aston was a good fit for his next career step, Leonard said our reputation was the standout. “I’d known Aston for a long time, having had dealings with some of the staff members in the past. With that you come to admire their professionalism. The company's vision and values I found, coincided with my personal beliefs. It’s one of the reasons I can genuinely see a long-term career progression with Aston.”

When he’s not at our offices or out supporting the team and it’s time to relax, Leonard keeps himself active, healthy and busy. Outside of hours he spends plenty of quality time with his 2-year old or works out at the gym. He’s also keen collector of militaria and appreciates quality wine and the occasional beer when socialising with friends and family.
