As a coordinator of marketing campaigns, future buyers and tenants are front of mind for Fran. As she says, “I enjoy putting myself in the shoes of business owners and thinking about how a property can help that company succeed from the minute they move in. For example, I consider whether the location works for their customers, operations and even attracting and retaining staff. Finding unique strengths are important.”
Day-to-day, Fran is responsible for putting many of Aston’s Property campaigns in place. Including the creation of marketing strategies, writing customer-facing material and positioning properties in ways that drive tenant and buyer enquiry.
She is passionate about working in the commercial property sector and has previous experience working in executive assistance and marketing, prior to making the move directly into real estate. Before Aston, Fran worked in sales administration across assets that included childcare, aged care, swim schools and medical centres. “At Aston, what I love is that every property is different. I get to understand what makes each one unique and develop a strategy to sell or lease it. Unlike residential real estate, commercial properties can suit many different types of businesses and uses, which makes the work much more interesting and challenging.”
When asked about what drew her to a role at Aston, she emphasises that variety was a drawcard, particularly because she has a curious nature. “Here, you have real diversity in the property portfolio – across retail, offices, childcare, medical and industrial. This means I can really broaden my understanding of different asset classes, as well as market trends.”
When the busy working week ends, Fran likes to stay active and reset her body and mind. Going to the gym, taking part in pilates and zumba, as well as enjoying some swimming.
